Epee d'Officier de Dragon, chasseur à cheval, voir de marine, époque Consulat Premier Empire.
Monture en laiton fondu
Pommeau à pans à decor réalisé à la pointe de feuillage et surmontés d'un bouton de riveture proéminant.
Fusée en ébène cannelé, décorée en son milieu d'une bague en laiton à décors de végétaux en suite.
Arc de jointure à facettes ornée en son milieu de perles et finissant en angle droit sur la croisière avecun renfort.
Plateau de garde à décors d'un soleil sur fond rayonnant et bordure ornée de 5 perles, quillon court à enroulement.
Lame à patine grise, droite à pans creux et dos plat, ciselée au tiers de trophés d'armes et de motifs floraux sur une face et d'un soleil rayonnant sur l'autre.
Ces épées furent très à la mode chez les officiers de dragons, de chasseurs à cheval, et d'officiers de la marine.

Officer's sword of a dragoon, mounted hunter, or possibly a naval dragoon, from the Consulate and First Empire period.
Cast brass hilt
Pommel with faceted sides decorated with openwork foliage motifs and topped by a prominent rivet-style knob.
Fluted ebony tang, decorated in the middle with a brass ring featuring continuous plant motifs.
Faceted joint arch adorned in the center with pearls and ending at a right angle at the crossguard with a reinforcement.
Guard plate decorated with a sun on a radiant background and a border adorned with five pearls; short, coiled quillon.
Blade with a gray patina, straight with hollow sides and a flat back, chiseled one-third of the way up with trophies of arms and floral motifs on one side and a radiant sun on the other.
These swords were very fashionable among officers of the Dragoons, mounted chasseurs, and naval officers.
