Revolver à système, brevet en date du 6 mars 1865 par NOEL & GOUERY à Paris.
Ce brevet pris pour l15 ans sous le numéro 66493 protège la fabriation de cette arme étonnante passée à la postérité sous le nom de "ROTOVOLVER"
Révolver original à barillet plat, tourelle qui présente la particularité  de pivoter autour d'un axe perpendiculaire au canon et d'une capacité de 10 coups en calibre 7,5 mm.
Munitions à pillule de fulminate.
Toutes parties métalliques avec petite patine grise.
Toutes les pièces sont au meme numéro de série : 181
Carcasse ajourée à décors gravés de rainveaux feuillagés.
Canon à pans avec organe de visée
Traces de marquage de chaque coté de la bande du canon dans un oval.
A gauche "JF GOUERY CANT"
A droite "NOEL SGDG"
Queue de détente pliante et plaquettes de crosse en ébonite noire quadrillée et gravée, fixée par une visse centrale traversante.
Chien coté droit avec sureté pivotante
Ouverture donnant accès au barillet, coté gauche par crochet de vérouillage (voir photos)
Mécanique en très bel état de fonctionnement en DA
Le numéro de série 181 présent sur toutes les pièces, est proche du début de la fabrication.

France, Second Empire—a rare and uncommon “ROTOVOLVER,” designed by Sébastien Amédée NOEL, Captain of Armaments, gunsmith, and inventor, and GOUERY JF., gunsmith in Paris.
Revolver with a patented mechanism, patented on March 6, 1865, by NOEL & GOUERY in Paris.
This patent, granted for 15 years under number 66493, protects the manufacture of this remarkable firearm, which has gone down in history as the “ROTOVOLVER.”
Original revolver with a flat cylinder and a turret that has the distinctive feature of pivoting around an axis perpendicular to the barrel, with a capacity of 10 rounds in 7.5 mm caliber.
Fulminate-capsule ammunition.
All metal parts have a light gray patina.
All parts bear the same serial number: 181
Openwork frame with engraved foliage motifs.
Fluted barrel with sighting mechanism
Traces of markings on each side of the barrel band within an oval.
On the left: “JF GOUERY CANT”
On the right: “NOEL SGDG”
Folding trigger guard and black ebonite checkered and engraved grip panels, secured by a central through-screw.

Right-side hammer with swivel safety
Access to the cylinder via a locking hook on the left side (see photos)
