Stylet de grande taille ESPAGNOL , époque XVI° - XVII° .
Ces armes etaient destinées à infliger des blessures profondes , difficiles à soigner.
Elles pouvaient aussi passer dans les anneaux des côtes de mailles ( perce maille ) et aussi servir pour l'artillerie.
Lame typique des stylet de cette époque .
Partie au talon de lame travaillée en balustre puis lame triangulaire à flancs plats polie au brunisoir , lame très aigüe de 19 cm.
Au talon de la lame se trouve un coeur sur une face .
Courte garde symêtrique à 2 quillons en boule terminés par un petit bouton, permetant aussi de porter des coups.
Pommeau à bulbe d'oignon aplati à riveture proéminante en bouton, identique à celle des quillons.
Poignée constituée de 2 parties en balustre de deux tons de couleur.

Large SPANISH stiletto, 16th–17th century.
These weapons were designed to inflict deep wounds that were difficult to treat.
They could also pass through the rings of chain mail (to pierce the mail) and were used in artillery.
Blade typical of stilettos from this period.
The heel of the blade is carved in a baluster pattern, followed by a triangular blade with flat sides polished with a burnisher; the blade is very sharp and measures 19 cm.
On one side of the blade heel is a heart motif.
Short, symmetrical guard with two ball-shaped quillons ending in small knobs, which could also be used to deliver blows.
Pommel shaped like a flattened onion bulb with prominent rivets forming a button, identical to those on the quillons.
Handle consisting of two baluster-shaped sections in two shades of color.
