Sabre d'Officier de Chasseur à Cheval époque Louis XVI, (1774 - 1789) - XVIII.
Monture en laiton à calotte plate, à filets et à bouton de riveture en losange calotte longue queue décoré au trait.
Arc de jointure très élargi près de la calotte et faisant un angle droit avec la croisière qui forme les oreillons en losange curvilignes.
Quillon droit terminé par un bouton à facettes.
Fusée entièrement filigrané de fils de cuivre et torsade en chainette au fil de laiton.
Cravate de lame en bufle.
Lame à patine grise, tachée, légèrement courbe à pans creux et dos plat avec petite gouttière dorsale, lame à un tranchant.
Fourreau en cuir noirci à couture dorsale médiane et deux garnitures laiton, bouterolle à terminaison en boule et chape découpée à bouton et anneau de suspension.

Louis XVI-era (1774–1789) Mounted Chasseur Officer’s Saber—18th century.
Brass hilt with a flat cap, braiding, and a diamond-shaped rivet button; the long-tailed cap is decorated with line engraving.
The joint arch is greatly widened near the cap and forms a right angle with the crossguard, which features curvilinear diamond-shaped lugs.
Straight quillon ending in a faceted pommel.
The tang is entirely filigree-worked with copper wire and twisted with a brass chain.
Buffalo leather blade tie.
Blade with a gray, mottled patina, slightly curved with hollow edges and a flat back featuring a small dorsal groove; single-edged blade.
Blackened leather scabbard with a central dorsal seam and two brass fittings; the pommel ends in a ball, and the chape is cut out with a button and a suspension ring.
