Epée d'officier du 1Er Empire .
Monture en bronze doré et arc de jointure fixé au buste du pommeau par 2 feuilles d'acanthe recourbées et à décor du dieu Mars dans le médaillon central.
Clavier incurvé ovalaire à demi-lune et contre clavier réduit .
Clavier à décor du Dieu Mars assis sur un bélier et trophées d'armes composé de canons , d'enseignes , etc....
Fusée à plaquette de nacre lisse.
Pommeau à casque empanaché vu de face à grille horizontale.
Lame à section triangulaire à décor de trophées militaires , sans bleui et portant au talon le poinçon de : A & K , pour A.KNECHT (actif sous le consulat et le 1 er Empire , dcd 1815 - Le poinçon devient AK & F , pour A.Knecht et fils en 1815 par la veuve.)
Sans fourreau.

First Empire officer's sword.
Gilded bronze mount with a joint arch attached to the pommel’s bust by two curved acanthus leaves and featuring a depiction of the god Mars in the central medallion.
Curved, oval-shaped, half-moon guard and a smaller counter-guard.
Guard decorated with the god Mars seated on a ram and military trophies consisting of cannons, banners, etc. ...
The tang features a smooth mother-of-pearl plate.
The pommel depicts a plumed helmet viewed from the front, with a horizontal grille.
The blade has a triangular cross-section and is decorated with military trophies; it is unblued and bears the hallmark “A & K” at the heel, standing for A. KNECHT (active during the Consulate and the First Empire; died 1815 — The hallmark changed to “AK & F,” standing for A. Knecht and Son, in 1815 by his widow.)
No scabbard.
