Un intemporel, toujours apprécié pour ses couleurs et son design qui représente la a statue du Timbalier ce cavalier qui veille sur le toit de la maison Maison Hermès rue du Faubourg saint Honoré depuis tant d’années. Le Timbalier personnage à cheval qui dirige son animal avec fermeté, ses mains devant rester libres pour actionner les timbales et annoncer sa venue. Belle composition au milieu de pompons, épaulettes, passementerie, ce carré a été illustré par Françoise Héron en 1961 et réédité en 2001 et 2010.
En twill de soie aux bords roulottés main et aux bordures noires, ce bel exemplaire se décline sur fond blanc cassé dans un camaïeu de tons bleu, turquoise, vert, rouge, or, aux couleurs encore vives et chatoyantes. Porte son copyright en bas à droite et le nom de la maison « Hermès Paris » à gauche. Dimensions : 90 x 90 cms. Très bon état d’origine, d’usage et de conservation, pas de trou, ni fil tiré, les couleurs vives et bien saturées, la soie est en bel état. The Timbalier character on horseback who steers his animal with firmness, his hands having to remain free to activate the timpani and announce his arrival. Beautiful composition in the middle of pompons, epaulettes, passementerie, this square was illustrated by Françoise Héron in 1961 and reissued in 2001 and 2010.
In silk twill with hand-rolled edges and black borders, this beautiful copy is available on an off-white background in shades of blue, turquoise, green, red, gold, with still bright and shimmering colors. Bears its copyright at the bottom right and the name of the house 'Hermès Paris' on the left. Dimensions: 90 x 90 cm. Very good condition of origin, use and conservation, no hole, nor drawn thread, bright and well saturated colors, the silk is in beautiful condition.
